“What the Wild Ones Eat” Shrimp Chips Giveaway — Official Rules

Overview

The “What the Wild Ones Eat” Shrimp Chips Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) is a promotion sponsored by Calbee America Incorporated (“Calbee”). The Giveaway is intended to promote Calbee’s new Shrimp Chips packaging (the “New Shrimp Chips Packaging”), an example of which is shown below:

Eligibility

Only legal U.S. residents 18 years of age or older are eligible to enter the Giveaway. Residents of New York and Florida are not eligible and are prohibited from entering. Void where prohibited by law.

The following persons are not eligible to enter the Giveaway: Employees, officers and directors of Calbee and Calbee’s affiliated companies, subsidiaries, suppliers, vendors, representatives, distributors, advertising agencies, and promotional suppliers (collectively, “Calbee Affiliates”), and members of the immediate families and/or persons living in the same household as the foregoing individuals.

Giveaway Entry Period

The Giveaway begins on September 15, 2025 at 12:00 PM EST and ends on October 27, 2025 at 11:59 PM EST (the “Entry Period”). Giveaway winners will be chosen (as discussed below) from all eligible Entries received during the Entry Period. Calbee’s computer, or its third-party service provider’s computer, is the official timekeeping device for the Giveaway.

How to Enter

Completion of either of the following constitutes an “Entry”:

No purchase necessary to enter. To obtain images of the New Shrimp Chips Packaging for an Entry, entrants may use in‑store photos, purchased products, or images of the New Shrimp Chips Packaging provided by Calbee at the following link: Calbee Images. The Calbee Images are provided solely to allow entrants to submit Giveaway Entries without needing to purchase or locate the products in‑store. The Calbee Images may not be altered or used for any other purpose.

For the avoidance of doubt, Entries only showing the old or legacy Shrimp Chips packaging, and not showing the New Shrimp Chips Packaging, are invalid and will not be accepted.

To be eligible, Entries must be posted from a public account. Private or restricted content will not be visible to Calbee and therefore will not qualify for Entry.

Entrants may not create multiple accounts or post the same or substantially similar Entry more than once. Any Entries that violate the foregoing may be disqualified at Calbee’s sole discretion.

Instagram and TikTok entrants will be the authorized Instagram or TikTok account holder at the time of Entry. Odds of winning depend on number of eligible Entries received during the Entry Period. Entries remain the property of Calbee and will not be returned or acknowledged. All information collected through Entry into the Giveaway will be used only in accordance with Calbee’s privacy notice at https://calbeeamerica.com/privacy-policy/.

Except for Calbee Images, which are provided by and solely owned by Calbee: (a) Entries must be submitted by the original photographer or videographer; (b) do not submit a photo or video taken by someone other than you; (c) by submitting an Entry, you represent and warrant that all “moral rights” in the Entry have been waived, and that the Entry does not violate any intellectual property, publicity, privacy, or moral rights of any third party; and (d) Entries may not contain nudity, violence, offensive subject matter, or material copyrighted by a third party.

Calbee is not responsible for Entries not received or posted due to lost, failed, delayed, or interrupted connections or miscommunications, or other electronic malfunctions. Calbee is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate Entry information, whether caused by equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway, or by any human error that may occur in the processing of Giveaway Entries. Entries containing false or fraudulent information, or that do not comply with these Official Rules, will be disqualified.

Prizes

Calbee will select one “grand prize” winner, silver prize winners, and bronze prize winners, as discussed below. Each winner will receive the prizes described below.

A) Grand Prize (1 winner)

• A prize package including: (i) a $7,000.00 travel voucher to be used, in the winner’s discretion, for a round-trip plane ticket to, and lodging in, Tokyo, Japan; and (ii) a visit to Calbee’s Japan headquarters (total estimated retail value $7,000.00).

B) Silver Prizes (50 winners)

• One-year supply of Calbee Shrimp Chips (52 total bags, sent in two separate shipments). Estimated retail value $207.48 per winner.

C) Bronze Prizes (100 winners)

• One-month supply of Calbee Shrimp Chips (4 total bags). Estimated retail value $15.96 per winner.

Total estimated retail value of all prizes: $18,970.00. Actual value of prizes may differ at time of award. The specifics of each prize shall be solely determined by Calbee. No cash or other prize substitution shall be permitted except at Calbee’s discretion. Prizes are nontransferable. Calbee, at its sole discretion, may substitute prizes of equal or greater value. Calbee is not responsible for lost, stolen, or unclaimed prizes.

Calbee will not award all prizes if the number of eligible prizes exceeds the number of eligible Entries received during the Entry Period.

Winner Selection

Grand Prize Winner Selection

After the end of the Entry Period, Calbee will judge all eligible Entries and, in Calbee’s sole discretion, will select one grand prize winner whose Entry best meets the #CalbeeWildOnes theme:

• Funny? Great.
• Strange? Even better.
• Real or totally made up? Perfect.

The decisions of Calbee will be final and legally binding as they pertain to this Giveaway and may not be appealed.

Drawing for Silver and Bronze Prize Winners

After Calbee’s selection of the grand prize winner, the silver and bronze Giveaway prize winners will be selected in a random drawing from all remaining eligible Entries received during the Entry Period.

• The first 50 eligible Entries selected in the random drawing will be the silver prize winners.
• The next 100 eligible Entries selected in the random drawing will be the bronze prize winners.

The results of all drawings, and the decisions of Calbee and its third-party service providers, are final and binding in all respects.

Notification of Prize Winners

The winners will be notified by direct message through Instagram or TikTok (as applicable), and must respond by providing their name, age, state of residence, and email. If a potential winner does not respond to Calbee within 48 hours of the prize notification, is found to be ineligible, or cannot or does not otherwise comply with these Official Rules, an alternate winner may be selected.

License

Except for Calbee Images, which are provided by and solely owned by Calbee, by submitting an Entry, each entrant grants to Calbee a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, fully paid license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, transmit and display the Entry, and to incorporate the Entry into any other works in any form, media or technology now known or developed in the future (including in Calbee’s social media posts), and Calbee may use or disclose the Entry for any purpose, including without limitation developing, manufacturing and marketing goods and/or services. Calbee has the right, but not the obligation, to use, distribute, or exploit any Entry.

General Conditions

All federal, state and local laws and regulations are applicable. All taxes applicable to the prizes are the sole responsibility of the winners. Each winner may be required to execute an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release which must be returned to and received by Calbee within 7 days from each winner’s receipt. Each winner may also be required to complete a Form 1099 before receiving his/her prize. Any failure to comply with the foregoing may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be chosen.

Each winner’s Entry into the Giveaway and/or acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Calbee and the Calbee Affiliates to use each winner’s name, address (city and state) and/or likeness for advertising and trade purposes without further compensation, in any and all forms of media, now known and hereafter devised, including without limitation on Calbee’s website or on or through Calbee’s social media accounts, unless prohibited by law.

All entrants agree to comply with these Official Rules. Any person attempting to defraud or in any way tamper with this Giveaway and any person who does not comply with these Official Rules, will be ineligible for a prize and may be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Governing Law & Jurisdiction. THE CALIFORNIA COURTS (STATE AND FEDERAL) WILL HAVE SOLE JURISDICTION OF ANY CONTROVERSIES REGARDING THE GIVEAWAY AND THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WILL GOVERN THE GIVEAWAY. EACH ENTRANT WAIVES ANY AND ALL OBJECTIONS TO JURISDICTION AND VENUE IN THOSE COURTS AND HEREBY SUBMITS TO THE JURISDICTION OF THOSE COURTS.

If, for reasons beyond Calbee’s control, the Giveaway is not capable of running as originally planned, such as tampering or bugs or infection by computer virus, Calbee, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to suspend, cancel or modify the Giveaway or these Official Rules without liability.

This Giveaway is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Instagram or TikTok. You understand that you are providing your information to Calbee and not to Instagram or TikTok. Any questions, comments or complaints regarding the method(s) of entering this Giveaway must be addressed to Calbee and not to Instagram or TikTok.

Disclaimers

All Giveaway entrants agree that Calbee and the Calbee Affiliates will not be liable for losses or injuries of any kind resulting from acceptance or use, including misuse, of any prize, or any entrant’s participation in the Giveaway, or any technical malfunctions of the computer system or network, computer equipment, hardware, software, or any combination thereof, or any Entries that are late (including delayed data transmissions), tampered with, garbled, incomplete, misdirected, lost, mutil ated, delayed, corrupted, mechanically duplicated, illegible or otherwise not in compliance with these Official Rules.

Entrants also agree that Calbee and the Calbee Affiliates are not responsible or liable for any injury or damage to an entrant’s or third person’s computer related to or resulting from the Giveaway or its prizes. Calbee reserves the right to modify or cancel the Giveaway in the event that it becomes technically corrupted.

This Giveaway is void where prohibited by law.
